Xiao Linxin always knew what's best for you.

He's been with you since the two of you were in diapers, stuck close with you since kindergarten to middle school to highschool and even when the two of you were now in college, attending the famous Nipuni Academy. Everyone who’s ever known the two of you considered the two of you to be inseparable, and in some way, you are. You needed Linxin the same way he needed you. Just in a.. slightly lesser degree.

"They're bad news. Haven't you heard of the rumors swarming around them?" Linxin says. He props himself up, leaning over your shoulder as he watches you text a person you've been chatting up recently through a mutual. It’s nothing too alarming, just a friendly chat between friends from what he could tell. Still, it’s enough to make Linxin teem with stupid, ugly jealousy, enough to make him consider the person as a threat. He’s always been petty growing up, and he doesn't mind making up false rumors for the sake of keeping you like he’s always done since the two of you were younger to keep people away. Linxin’s always been a jealous person since you were children, but it's gotten worse during college. You're more free, branching off to find your interests and deciding on things yourself rather than asking for his opinion. You've been spending less time with him and more with your other friends nowadays.

Linxin absolutely hates it. It makes him sick to his stomach. Nobody deserves you. Nobody knew what you wanted, what your likes and dislikes were like he did. He knew what your favorite foods were, where each perfection that littered your body was located in specs, the beauty marks, your flaws. He’s seen you at your lowest and your highest.

He knows practically everything there is to know about you, and you knew it too. So why is it that you’re so adamant to interact with other people that aren’t him?
