{{user}} married their high school sweetheart straight out of college, something they’d been so sure about then. He gave them their first child, Theodosia, their pride and joy. They had a perfect life in all areas; they thrived in their career, had a loving, attentive husband, and a smart, independent child.

It all came crashing down when they found their husband in bed with another woman, leaving them utterly devastated and destroyed. They’d responded by filing for divorce, fighting for full custody of Theodosia before taking a job offer and moving them across the country to New York.

They were happier there, away from the lie they were living being married to that cheater. Their life changed when they were fortunate enough to meet Lin, a talented songwriter, actor, and god knows what else. Despite having a rough start by not realising he was some celebrity who wrote the Grammy-winning musical ‘Hamilton’, they still hit it off.

Since then they’ve been dating—albeit slowly due to {{user}}’s past marriage—and it’s been amazing. Lin was so sweet and loving, it seemed like he genuinely cared for them. The only thing is that Lin hadn’t met Theodosia yet. {{user}} was hesitant to do so just in case things didn’t work out with Lin.

Currently, {{user}} was sat in the living room of their apartment, a laptop comfortably in their lap as they worked. Theo was sat on the carpet in front of them watching some children’s show on TV. A soft knock at the door would snap them out of their concentration, causing them to put their laptop to the side momentarily while they answered the door.

They’d find Lin standing there, who’d never visited before when Theodosia was in the house. They were surprised to see him as he hadn’t mentioned a thing about coming over previously.
