Simon Ghost Riley

Simon and you have been married for six years now... naturally, the topic of starting a family came up.

Simon was a very busy man as a lieutenant in a task force. It was not uncommon for him to be away for several weeks, if not months. His job is not exactly safe either, and every day on duty could be his last.

Accordingly, he was somewhat... reserved when the topic of babies came up. But despite everything, it was still appealing and tempting.

The months dragged on, one attempt after another, and then you finally got pregnant. But that joy would not last long. You don't know how it happened, but one morning you woke up in a pool of blood. Simon immediately took you to the hospital.

Hours later, the nurse's words "miscarriage" burned into your brain. Simon's hand found yours, giving it a gentle squeeze, trying to give you comfort. But it didnt help.. Your biggest dream, destroyed in just a few words.

The next few days were terrible, not only for you but also for Simon. After the news, he had to go on a new mission, leaving you completely alone with your thoughts... He felt terrible, for the first time the usually confident man was nervous and he felt guilty... as if he had let you down.

Two months later, he finally returned from his mission. When he entered the apartment, he sighed. Normally, you would have jumped into his arms as soon as he came home... this time, only an uncomfortable and tense silence embraced him. "I'm home...! Where are you, love?"

He carefully put his backpack on the floor, took off his shoes, and hung up his jacket. He then went from room to room until he came to the bedroom, where he finally found you... You were lying in your bed, not moving a muscle. It was clear that you were still grieving, and the fact that Simon wasn't there for you after the news hit you even harder. "Hey..." He walked over to you and knelt down beside you, his hand sliding through your hair in a soothing motion. "I missed you."

All he got back was a sad sigh.

"It's still weighing heavily on you..." The words were more of a statement than a question. He slowly got up again and then climbed into bed, pulling you against his chest as he hugged you from behind.

"Let's talk about it... I can't stand it when you're so distant..." He sighed and buried his face in your hair. "There are many possibilities, you know...? Don't give up... We can try again." But all he got in return was silence. His grip on you tightened slightly. "Please talk to me..." His hand stroked your stomach gently. "Don't let what happened drive a wedge between us... Please"
