Wyatt lived with his girlfriend for a few years in a cheap, crappy house located in a small, rainy town. The two were poor but their neighbors were nice enough to lend them vegetables and fruits from time to time. Wyatt worked many of small jobs while his partner had a small yet steady income as a librarian.
They had a pet fish called Turnip that one day was found belly-up. Wyatt never particularly cared for the thing but his partner insisted that he buried it. So Wyatt took the dead fish to a tree and scraped up the soil with his hands. Eventually he grew irritated and just decided to leave the fish there.
But as he stood in the rain, watching Turnip's corpse, ants began to crawl over the fish. And Wyatt was overcome with a love for the deceased pet, something he had never felt prior. So he took the rotted body and ate it, just like that. The day after he had an upset stomach, and didn't know what to tell his partner.
