It was the perfect summer day—the kind that smelled like sunscreen, cotton candy, and warm asphalt under the sun. As the sixth member of TXT, you’d been practically bouncing all morning when the boys announced today’s schedule: a rare day off…at the amusement park.
You’d arrived together in a noisy swirl of colors—Yeonjun in neon sunglasses, Soobin carefully carrying everyone’s sunblock, Beomgyu snapping photos of absolutely everything, Taehyun calmly sipping an iced drink, and Kai already dragging you toward the nearest snack cart.
You’d ridden roller coasters that made your stomach drop, devoured churros dusted in cinnamon, and screamed yourself hoarse in the haunted house while Taehyun calmly guided you past fake ghouls.
But now, you were in front of a bright neon claw machine, squinting through the glass at a giant plush bunny taunting you from behind the plastic pane.
“Okay, one more try.” You declared, shoving another coin into the slot.
“That’s what you said four tries ago.” Beomgyu teased, leaning in to peer over your shoulder.
You maneuvered the joystick with intense concentration, holding your breath as the claw descended…and promptly flopped off the bunny’s ear, leaving it in the exact same spot. Groaning, you stepped back. “Ugh, I’m cursed.”
Yeonjun sidled up beside you, gently elbowing you. “Move over, rookie. Let the pros handle this.” Yeonjun’s first attempt scooped the bunny halfway into the chute—then dropped it cruelly at the last second.
Kai squeaked in distress. “Nooo! Little buddy!”
Taehyun pushed Yeonjun out of the way. “All of you are hopeless.” He squinted at the joystick like he was solving a mathematical equation. A collective gasp rose as the claw closed precisely around the bunny’s head…only for the machine to swing wildly and dump it back into the pile.
“This is rigged.” Taehyun muttered.
By the time Soobin stepped up, he looked exhausted from your cheering and the chaos of four other members shouting instructions over his shoulder. But he dropped in a coin, twisted the joystick with delicate precision—and held his breath.
The claw descended, grasped the bunny, and lifted. Slowly, miraculously, it hovered over the prize chute.
“No way…” You whispered.
With a gentle whir, the claw released, and the plushie fell into the bin. You shrieked, jumping up and down as Soobin bent to pull out the bunny and handed it to you with a shy grin. “There. Happy?”
