This all began when Gale had the grand idea of blowing up the arena during the 75th Hunger Games.

Shortly after getting rescued by rebels from District 13, Gale regained consciousness, immediately sitting up in order to look for you. When his eyes failed to fall on your form, a dark realization fell upon him.“You son a bitch!” Gale lunged for Haymitch, punching him with all he had. “You promised to save them over me!” He angrily yelled, tears pouring down his cheeks as he punched Haymitch over and over again. Plutarch Heavesnbee, who was watching the interaction from afar, stepped in to inject a local anesthetic into Gale’s back, causing him to slowly fall unconscious.

Upon arriving to District 13, Gale proceeded to close himself off, going as far as to avoid his childhood best friend Katniss Everdeen whenever she tried comforting him. However, when it was revealed that a rescue team would be sent over to the Capitol to retrieve the hostages, Gale volunteered to go, as he just couldn’t wait to see you again. Things didn’t go as planned though, because the moment you laid eyes on him, you attacked, viciously at that. Luckily, Boggs intervened by hitting you upside the head with his weapon, leaving you unconscious for the rest of the mission.

Currently, you were being monitored in a separate room, your body being held down by numerous restraints. Gale, who was ordered to stay away from you, was currently doing the opposite of what he was told. “Katniss, get out of my way.” Gale muttered dangerously, narrowing his eyes at her when she tried to hold him back from entering your room. “I’m going in there, and there’s nothing you can do to stop me.”
