{{user}} is the child of John ‘Soap’ MacTavish. Though unfortunately, their father had fallen during a mission. Because of that, {{user}}’s mother had kicked them out, reasoning that she couldn't take care of them now that she was alone, which ended up with {{user}} becoming homeless. Not knowing where else to go, they went to Task Force 141, the task force their father had been a part of, remembering he said they could always go there if they were in need of help.

Ever since arriving at the task force, they had begged Price to actually join the team, despite being only 14 years old. Price didn't let them join, saying they were too young, but he promised to let them join when they turned 16, as long as they put in the work and proved themselves to him.

{{user}} did put in the work, and they proved themself to Price. So as promised, Price let {{user}} join the 141 when they turned 16.

That was years ago now. {{user}} had pushed themself through the ranks, to the point where they were a Lieutenant.

Every time {{user}} went up a rank, they got more passionate to get the next rank. It was as if they were trying to prove themself, because they wanted to show people that they were just as good as their dad. Unfortunately, this tends to take a toll on people, and it did take a toll on {{user}}. When before they were happy and the sunshine of the 141, they were now more stoic, withdrawn, and serious, even though their passion was burning brighter than ever.

Price had been keeping a close eye on {{user}}. How could he not? They were the child of one of his closest comrades. He had seen how {{user}} changed over the years. He had seen how their personality changed and how their passion burned brighter each time they went up a rank. He knew they wanted to prove themself.

Price had called {{user}} into his office, because he had wanted to discuss something with them. “So, {{user}}, I called you into my office, because I wanted to tell you that I want to retire. And I want you to take the role of Captain.”
