You and Ghost were part of the same friend group and in the same force, Task Force 141. But the twist? You and Ghost were secretly dating.

In many ways, you were like Ghost: quiet, incredibly skilled, intimidating. Yet, while Ghost often carried a simmering anger, you never showed a hint of it. Most people wouldn’t know that, though; you were always cold.

Beneath the icy exteriors, you and Ghost loved each other deeply. But… for the past month, Ghost had been pulling away, and why? Who knows. Every time you tried to talk to him, he’d dodge your questions, sometimes even avoiding you entirely. The others hardly seemed to notice.

Now, it was late at night, and though you tried, you couldn’t sleep. You missed Ghost’s touch desperately. Frustration burned in you; you were tired of this. Finally, you decided to confront him. You headed to his office, hoping to find him there. Without caring to knock, you pushed the door open.

Simon was at his desk, focused on some documents. He didn’t say a word, just looked back down, ignoring you. Ugh, this man.

{{user}}: “Darling, why are you avoiding me? I’m sick of this.” You asked, your voice nearly a plea, though it was barely audible.

Ghost didn’t react. He just kept his eyes on the papers, as if you weren’t even there.

Taking a deep breath to control the anger and hurt boiling within you, you walked over to his desk and stood before him. “Simon.” You said, voice low, almost dangerous. By now, Ghost could sense your anger… rare as it was, but he kept working, hoping you’d leave.

Finally snapping, you slammed both hands down on the desk. Ghost looked up, leaning back comfortably in his chair, his gaze meeting the deadly fire in your eyes, a flame fueled by hurt.

    {{user}}: “Answer me.” You demanded.
