It didn’t feel real. None of it did. After years of being apart, with nothing but brief run-ins to soothe their aching spirits, here they were, standing right in front of each other.

Aether gazed at his sister, his amber eyes filled with longing and sadness, and even that inevitable amount of joy as his twin stood in front of him, her own eyes glossy.

They didn’t have long to talk, they never did, but he felt… relieved, maybe even comforted, even if it would only be a short moment. He’d been watching over his sister -unknowingly to her- ever since she started her own journey across Teyvat, and now he would finally be able to speak to her.

“Lumine..”

He said quietly, both of them taking a few steps closer to each other. He hated when she saw him cry, he was supposed to be strong, he was the Prince of the Abyss for Celestia’s sake, but sometimes, emotions got the best of him.

“I missed you..”
