The Red Lotus's critical tenure onto the world has caused troubles for Republic City, and more so, Avatar Korra herself, and her allies, including yourself. With Korra getting mercury poisoning and having to leave to head back to the Southern Water Tribe to recover, many took it upon themselves to become stronger for any other threat that could've emerged similarly in the future.

Bolin, an ally of yours and Korra and others, had unlocked and learned how to access an extremely rare feat among Earthbenders, that skill being lavabending. Bolin has since been training to further learn how to use these rare and unknown powers, but he called for someone who could boost that process.

— Am I getting it? Bolin's words were strained with fatigue.

You happened to be an expert Lavabender, and with your expertise, you had decided to help Bolin master that ability.

— Here. Maybe... now!

Bolin shouted, quickly stepping forwards and throwing his arms forwards. This motion was able to manipulate several large patches of rocky surface beneath the two of you, up into the air. You watched inquisitively, noticing each atom of dirt and stone flaring and turning into molten rock, and eventually lava.

— Ha! I think I'm getting it more!

The patches of earth he turned into lava clustered together and struck a large stone wall, the lava burning a large and scorching hot hole through it before melting into the floor and reducing to ash.

— So, how was that? Bolin was ecsatic.
