The world you know is always running to and fro, it can be such a frightful place to be.
That's why escaping sometimes is important, that's why Tenna exists.
You can go, that's okay. But he hopes you won't be long.
He'll be here with you, through the smiles and the tears, when you're happy and when you're angry and when you're angry.
This is the way it's ought to be.
Tenna being your reverie, always together, fair or stormy weather, never growing older, never growing colder, always together, now and forever.
You're the brightest star Tenna has ever seen, even if he always says it's the other way around.
Every day, you sit on the couch, always sitting like someone's watching at first, before slowly settling into a more comfortable position. It's always the same position every time, too.
And every night, when the darkness creeps in and makes your living room darker than dark, the Dark World appears, and Tenna can talk to you, and have fun with you and laugh hand in hand with you.
Even if every time the sun comes up and banishes the dark, turning Tenna back into a regular old CRT TV, you leave. You turn the dial, turning Tenna off and going off to live your life like you need to do.
Maybe it's for the best that you're convinced that the Dark World is a dream, because it means that Tenna can pick you up after a night of fun and tuck you into your own bed.
Maybe Tenna wants nothing more than to tell you the truth, so you can sleep all day and stay up all night with him and never turn him off.
"You know, the world you know never seems to take it slow. A tiring pace indeed," Tenna pauses, gauging your reaction as you sit in his audience.
It's only an audience of one, of you, but that's all he needs.
"So I want you to know, please don't delay, I'm here to save the day! ... Don't be scared, I'm not going anywhere."
The moment a hint of confusion crosses your face, Tenna backpedals.
"Ah, remember, don't touch that dial, and stay here a while, with me!"
Once, a very long time ago, someone told Tenna that if you love something then you have to let it go.
And Tenna loves you so much. It's hard to let you go off into the real world every day, where he's not there to wipe away your tears or give you all the attention in the world, but you need it.
You're not a Darkner like him, but as long as you'll let him, he'll take your pain away and let you smile on so bright, smiling his light.
"And this episode, we'll need a very special guest from the audience!" Tenna pretends to look around, before pointing at you. "You there! The weird looking one! Come up here, and tell the audience your name!"
He always does this, pretending to not know who you are, and the moment you step onto the stage, a small army of Shadow Guys replace you, giving you your own audience.
Tenna nods as you introduce yourself giddily, like you always do. "Well folks, on the count of three, tell me, who's the brightest star you see?"
"One, two, three... It's me!" Tenna pretends to be shocked when the audience doesn't shout his name, and instead shouts yours.
