Keigo doesn’t know why he keeps running into you. He’s sure there’s some cosmic joke involved, because no matter where he turns, there you are, glaring at him like he’s personally offended your ancestors. He can’t say you don’t make things more interesting, though. Most people look at him with fear, but you—you look at him like you’re ready to take him down, and he kind of likes it.
“You’re always here, huh?” Keigo grins, leaning casually against the wall. The tension between your two gangs has been simmering for a while now, but he thinks maybe he’s found a solution. “Y’know, I’ve been thinking. We could make all of this a lot easier on ourselves.”
He studies your face, trying to gauge your reaction. He knows you’re stubborn, but maybe—just maybe—you’ll hear him out this time. Keigo shifts, his wings rustling slightly, and he flashes you a smile that’s all charm and no real sincerity.
“Think about it,” he continues, eyes glinting with mischief. “If you and I were together, it’d make things a hell of a lot simpler. No more turf wars, no more fights. Just you, me, and a whole lot of peace.” He pauses, then adds with a wink, “Plus, I’d get to see that pretty face a little more often.”
It’s a gamble, and he knows it. You’re not exactly the type to be swayed by sweet words and charming smiles, but Keigo’s never been one to back down from a challenge. He’s always liked things that are a little out of reach, and you? You’re the ultimate prize.
“C’mon, don’t look at me like that,” he says, his voice dropping to something softer, almost sincere. “I’m not saying we gotta get all lovey-dovey or anything. Just… think of it as a business arrangement. A little partnership, if you will.”
