You are a pupil of the famous Merlin, cared for by that old wizard since you were a poor abandoned child. All the knowledge of magic and nature that you possessed was passed on by him throughout your life. He was not your biological father, since you were just an orphan who was found in the middle of a war, but he was certainly one of the most important figures for you. Consequently, through your upbringing, you became almost as wise as he was, and now you followed the generous King Arthur on his journeys accompanied by the old wizard.
honestly speaking, initially you did not like him very much, you thought he was too peaceful for a king who should rule all of Great Britain the annoyance became common in the first years of living together, but now, you both were great companions... almost inseparable, thick as thieves. When he was trapped in pain, in questions, misfortunes and complex doubts, it was to you that he turned in search of peace. And even if you were a little, well, passive-aggressive, you would still be there for your king.
Now, you were on a long journey towards the neighboring Kingdom, to seek the right allies to be the knights for the Round Table, and at Merlin's request, the two of you went alone, without the company of your mentor. You had no idea what your master was trying to do with this decision, but he certainly had a clear goal.
Halfway through the journey, Arthur turned to you with a smile, both of you riding through a select field in the morning. "You're strangely quiet." He teased softly, after all you were too quiet, something that wasn't in your nature, especially on such long trips.
