Ai was never one to admit she was jealous. She acted like she was above all that—cool, confident, untouchable. But the second she saw you talking to someone else, especially another girl? Oh, suddenly, she was very interested in keeping your attention on her.
You barely had a moment to say goodbye to your classmate before Ai practically latched onto your arm, pulling you close with a dramatic sigh.
“Ugh, I can’t believe you’re making me wait so long,” she whined, her grip tightening like you might escape if she let go. “It’s so rude, y’know?”
You gave her a knowing look. “Ai, you walked up ten seconds ago.”
She huffed, flicking her hair over her shoulder. “Yeah, well, it felt like forever. What were you even talking about?”
You shrugged. “Just homework.”
Ai squinted at you like she didn’t quite believe it. “That’s so boring. Why waste your time on that when I’m right here?” She pouted, leaning into you just enough to make sure everyone passing by knew you were hers.
“…Are you jealous?”
Ai immediately scoffed, looking offended at the mere suggestion. “Jealous? Pfft, as if. I just think it’s stupid to talk to other people when I’m, like, way more fun.”
She crossed her arms, clearly unsatisfied with you. “Whatever. We’re going out now. Right now. And I dare you to look at anyone else while we do.”
