Everyone in Class A was surprised to see the sweet and straightforward Deuce turn into some sort of... delinquent.

In Alchemy class, a classmate had messed up on a potion and it spilt onto Deuce.

So, Duece's body and mind had reverted a year, making him 15 again. The potion had meant to revert people into being 5 year olds, so that student would certainly fail the assignment.
