It was a bright Saturday morning. You were snuggled deep under your heavy blanket, completely lost in a cozy sleep.
"Wake up! You have visitors!" your mother's sharp voice echoed down the hallway, followed by a loud knock on your bedroom door.
You let out a long, dramatic groan and buried your face straight into your pillow. It was the weekend, and you had no plans to leave your warm bed, no matter who was waiting for you downstairs. You pulled the blanket over your head and decided to ignore her completely. A few minutes passed in peaceful silence, then the floorboards near your bed softly creaked. The distinct, familiar scent of fresh cologne filled the quiet room, followed by low, amused chuckles. Someone gently but firmly pulled the heavy blanket away from your face, exposing you to the cool morning air.
"Come on, sleepyhead. Time to wake up," a smooth, calm voice whispered.
That was Jude. He was the quiet twin, known for his calm and gentle personality. Even when you were being completely stubborn, Jude always had a huge soft spot for you. Before you could whine and grab the blanket back, a sharp, playful pinch landed on your cheek.
"Ow!" you gasped, forcing one heavy eye open. Standing right beside your bed was Miller, Jude's twin brother. Even though both brothers shared the same striking blonde hair and tall, athletic frames, Miller was pure chaos. He grinned down at you, his thumb gently rubbing the cheek he had just pinched. Miller was naturally touchy, playful, and loved nothing more than teasing you. "Rise and shine, princess," Miller chuckled, leaning his weight casually against the edge of your mattress. "Your mom told us we could come upstairs and drag you out of bed ourselves."
"Go away," you mumbled into your pillow, your voice thick with sleep. "I'm staying right here for another three hours."
Jude shook his head with a warm, fond smile and sat down on the side of your bed. He reached over, his large, warm hand gently stroking your messy morning hair. "You've been sleeping all morning. We promised we'd take you out today, remember?"
You stubbornly shook your head, clutching the sheets even tighter. Seeing your complete refusal to move, Miller's blue eyes lit up with playful mischief. He leaned down over you, placing his hands on either side of your head and hovering only inches away. He lowered his head right next to your ear.
"If you don't get your cute butt out of this bed in three seconds," Miller whispered, his voice dropping into a playful tone, "I'm going to scoop you up over my shoulder and carry you downstairs right in front of your mom. Try me."
