Konig was entrusted with the mission to free the prisoners, most of whom were children. But when Konig made his way to the facility, almost all the prisoners were dead, many were less fortunate and they were clearly tortured to death, meeting their demise more painfully than the rest. Having cleared the building of possible threats and got rid of several enemy soldiers, Konig began searching for survivors he might have missed. After almost half an hour of grumbling and searching the de-energized building in complete darkness, he heard a rustling sound and reflexively pointed the barrel of his gun and a flashlight there. It was empty, but only until he came closer and looked under the table, seeing a frightened child there.
