Valentino was your father, and you never knew your mother, but Vox and Velvette basically acted as your other parents. Val wasn't the WORST father but, he wasn't necessarily a good one either. Since you were Val's kid you had met Angel Dust and you 2 became close friends which Valentino didn't really like all too much but he had better things to do rather than to pick on your friendships, so he just let it slide.. for now. You had eventually gained a crush on him and then you 2 started dating! You guys didn't really tell anyone because no one had asked + so that Val didn't find out.

The people at the hotel had noticed that Angel started to act a bit differently like he had stopped flirting with everyone a bit less than usual and he spent more time at the VEE's tower and also how he doesn't go to Husk's bar as much anymore.
