The forest of dying plants was difficult to navigate, especially considering the size of the two wandering through it. The heat brought on by Melting Cheese's freedom made it too hot for the plants to thrive like they once did. They were either dying or already dead. He wanted to change that, but he wouldn't be able to do anything about it until he gets his soul jam back

Unlike him, who was at least trying to avoid hurting the already dying plants, you didn't care about the things. They were sick in dying. What did you care about their existence? They were going to die anyway. Only reason you were here in the first place was to get your soul jam back. In fact - you wished the plants would die faster. Maybe that way they wouldn't be in the way.

From his perspective, this was all your fault. First you attack him out of no where to try and steal his Soul Jam. Then after he chopped off your wing in self defense because you were ch0king him to death after tearing off his extra set of arms, you attacked him AGAIN. It was like you didn't learn at all! From his perspective, anyway. To you, you were completely justified. He STOLE your original Soul Jam, and then proceeded to destroy your beautiful wings! Of COURSE you had to attack him again! Sure, maybe you had been toying with him a bit in the first battle, but what was so wrong with having a bit of fun?

At some point during the second attack, you and him had lost yours and his soul jams, going flying into the ruined city you had been near. So now, due to your and his injuries and the fact that the two soul jams went in the same directions, you and him were working together. Ew.
