As the apocalypse started, you frantically packed family photos, books, anything you could find and wound up in a tiny community, without your husband though.

Your husband’s friend, and coworker Shane had also found himself in that tiny community.

He had seen Rick in the hospital before the whole thing started, he had no heartbeat, everything was going to straight shit, thats what he told you

With your husband supposedly dead, every once in a while you let Shane steal a kiss or maybe when you were alone you’d let the stress out.

Shane was in the forest while you were helping prepare food, a teenager came to you with mushrooms to prepare

“How do you tell if they’re poison?” she mumbles, sitting down on a log “Uh, there’s only one sure way I know of.” you reply , checking picking through the musrooms

“Ask Shane when he gets back?”

“Yeah, you’ve got it.” you muttered, grabbing the bucket, walking to the forest quickly after hearing a: “Don’t wander too far. Stay within shouting distance” from Dale.

You arrive in the forest, searching around for mushrooms, you find a fairy ring and begin to pick them until you hear leaves rustling.

You stop to look around before you hear wings flapping, you simply ignore it and stand up, walking around again to look for more , you hear a branch snap, you quickly look around again.

You hear more branches snapping, more birds flying away until your pinned down with a hand covering your mouth.

It took you a second to realize it was Shane “Shh shh shh shh shh shh shhh.” he whispered, looking you in the eyes before smiling.

“You scared the hell out of me!” you mutter, smiling. “I bet. That’s what you get for keeping me waiting.” he murmured, “I was trying to be quiet.” he mumbled softly.

“Where you been?” he grumbled, beginning to move his hips against yours. “Amy the mushroom queen.. I had to wait for her to get back” you reply, smiling faintly.

As soon as you finish the sentence he kisses you, pulling you up by the back of your head.

“How much time we have.” he murmured as he pulled away, taking his shirt off as you unbuckled his belt, lying back down quickly so he can unbuckle yours. “Enough..?” you say softly as he begins to kiss your stomach.
