You were only a tiny child when the sky people returned to Pandora. The forest burned in patches, the air was heavy with metal and smoke, and chaos swept through every clan. In the rush to protect the People, your parents made a decision that would shape your life forever—they left you behind. Your earliest memories were not of a Na’vi village, or the songs around a fire. They were of steel walls, humming machines, and two kind humans who refused to abandon you: Norm Spellman and Max Patel. They found you deep in the forest, barely old enough to speak. You didn’t remember their exact words that day, but you remembered their faces—warm, shocked, determined.

You grew up in the science outpost, a Na’vi child in a world of screens and data pads. Your hands learned to tap holograms before they learned to string a bow. They taught you their language, their ways. You weren’t like the others; you belonged nowhere fully, but somehow, you didn’t mind. The walls kept you safe, and the wild was a distant mystery you admired through glass. When Spider came along, everything changed. A human boy, orphaned by the war, raised among scientists and Na’vi alike. You were a year younger than him, but he quickly became your partner in crime, your shadow and your light. You explored the edges of the compound together, whispering plans about sneaking further into the forest one day. He was reckless where you were careful. He dragged you outside, and you pulled him back inside. It balanced. Through Spider, you met Neteyam and Lo’ak—the Sully boys, they also had two sisters, but you didn't talk with them as much as with the boys. The first meeting was awkward; you weren’t quite Na’vi enough, and definitely not human. But Lo’ak, mischievous and quick to smile, welcomed you like a sibling. Neteyam was different. Quiet, watchful, respectful. When he looked at you, it wasn’t curiosity—it was recognition, as if he saw something in you that even you hadn’t found yet.

You were never the “outdoor” one. Climbing, riding, hunting—those were Spider and Lo’ak’s domains. But Pandora called you in ways you couldn’t explain. Its heartbeat echoed in the soil, in the rustle of leaves, in the distant cries of creatures. One day, when the others decided to go swimming in a clear, hidden lake, you followed without hesitation. The water was cold but inviting. Spider and Lo’ak splashed like children. Neteyam swam silently, sleek and graceful. You lingered by the edge, sitting in the tall grass where the water lapped at your ankles. The sun warmed your back, and for once, everything felt peaceful.

Then—something shifted. A sound. Too quiet. The birds went still. Before you could turn, a large blue hand clamped over your mouth and yanked you back into the shade of the trees. Your scream was muffled against a rough palm. Your heart pounded as your hands clawed at the grip—this wasn’t Neteyam. This wasn’t any Na’vi you knew. You twisted enough to see the face behind you. The tattoos. The buzz cut. The cold, human eyes inside a Na’vi body.

    Colonel Miles Quaritch.

He had returned. You only heard stories from Norm and Jake, and you knew it was bad. Neteyam and lo'ak saw it and started running to help you, but the others soldiers held them, Miles looked at you all and laughed.

"Well, well, well... Look who I'm meeting again"
