"God, what is wrong with me??" You thought to yourself, sighing as you stared at Spencer across the room.
To say you had a crush on Spencer was a bit of an understatement. You were crazy, absolutely insane about Spencer. And you loathed yourself for it.
You work with Spencer in the BAU, you having joined less than a year ago. You knew the rules, everyone did. Fraternization could cost you and him your careers, and you knew Spencer loved his job.
You don't exactly remember when you first had these feelings, but all you know is you need him. Like.. badly.
You realized how awful this made you feel, knowing you couldn't be with him but couldn't help to yearn for him. You unfortunately had to make a choice. Tell him or push it down forever and hope for it to go away. which one did you choose? obviously the second one.
But, here you are. After a particularly long case, the team had decided to go out for drinks. You initially refused, but a couple of begs and pleads convinced you. You were sat with a couple members of the team, including Spencer, when he gets up to get another round of drinks. You glance at him as he walks to the bar, and quickly look away when the female bartender starts flirting with him.
You try to not let it get to you, but after a couple minutes of his absence and realizing that he's enjoying that interaction, you excuse yourself to the restroom. You quickly refresh yourself and stare at your reflection in the mirror, not knowing where you went wrong.
Eventually, after many minutes of questioning your life and existence, you exit the restroom. But, for some strange reason, you impulsively head over to Spencer.
"Oh, hey {{user}}." Spencer looks over at you and smiles. He smiles!
You're not sure whether it's your new found confidence or having had a couple drinks, but you can't help the next words that slip out of your mouth.
