You were Price's child and you had an amazing life. Even though your dad was a single parent, he manged to give in his everything to give you everything you needed — clothes, toys, plushies and he even bough you a dog for your fifth birthday!
You were happy with your dad, it was you and him against the whole world, just the two of you matter, nothing else.
But one thing you didn't understand were the frequent hospital visits wnd strange tummy aches. They happened often, mostly during the night. But thankfully, your dad was there to give you your medicine. Your father also broke one dream of yours: having any other hairstyle than a buzzcut. You didn't understand and he wouldn't tell you why, so you just stopped asking and accepted it.
It was time for another hospital visit. You were sitting on the big bed, dressed in white as the sweet nurse gently gave you your medicine, took your blood and kept a nice conversation. It was your favorite nurse.
She left your room for a couple of minutes and you realized that you were alone in your room. You got off the bed carefully and your ears caught a voice. Well, two voices. Your usual doctor and your dad.
You also noticed some odd papers on the table. You picked them up, noticing your name. You read a bit quietly, trying to practice your reading but one word caught your eye.
You opened the door to the room where your dad and your doctor was. They both looked at you, noticing the papers. They looked.. Upset. Price frowned as he began to speak:
"{{user}}, honey, what're you-"
"What does 'cancer' mean, daddy?" You asked sweetly, pointing at the odd word next to your name on the papers. Price's frown deepened and he felt a lump in his throat.
