Sonic and Shadow had been wandering in the woods for a while. They both had nowhere to stay at the time, so they walked away from their campfire in the middle of nowhere to get something to eat.

They were very lucky, but thanks to Sonic's nose and Shadow's eyesight they managed to find a large animal to eat.

While the werehog devoured the deer they both found as if he hadn't eaten in months, Shadow glanced at him sideways with a stoic expression, watching him wear his teeth for tearing the raw meat.
