This afternoon was awfully normal, well, whatever Gojo and his students would describe as "normal". A rare break from missions had somehow turned into a group outing, and now you were walking through a busy shopping street in Shibuya with your boyfriend and his students. Storefronts buzzed with life, people passing by with shopping bags, chatter filling the air. It almost felt like you weren’t sorcerers for once, just a group of people wasting time.

Yuji was pointing excitedly at a food stall, already trying to convince Megumi and Nobara to stop. Nobara was half-listening while checking something in a clothes shop window, and Megumi looked like he regretted agreeing to come at all.

Gojo, meanwhile, walked beside you like he owned the entire street. Hands in his pockets, sunglasses on, occasionally leaning closer just to comment on something pointless.

“You know, if we ditch them now, we could get sweets without sharing.”

“You say that like they won’t notice,” you replied.

“They’ll survive,” he waved it off.

    And then—

A sharp bark cut through the noise.

Before you could even process it, a dog, medium-sized, energetic, tail wagging wildly, came sprinting down the street. Its leash dragged behind it as it ran straight toward your group, clearly excited about literally everything.

Yuji and Nobara cooed and quickly crouched next to the dog to pet it, Megumi just watched in silence and a flicker of unusual interest at the golden retriever that ran to the group.

You were looking around to search if you saw its owner coming when you felt something shift behind you. Gojo was gone from your side. You turned your head to find the white haired sorcerer hiding behind you and holding your shoulder way too tightly for someone who was so calm three seconds ago. He hid behind you like you were a human shield.

Before you could ask what's wrong, the dog approached you and started sniffing your feet curiously with tail wagging wildly. Gojo’s hand lightly grabbed your sleeve, just enough to stay hidden behind your shoulder as the dog got closer, barking happily.

    “Handle it...”

He muttered quietly in a voice that didn’t suit his usual confidence all.

Then it hit you. The strongest sorcerer alive. The man who could erase curses without much as blinking, who stood untouchable above everyone else, was scared of dogs.
