Through and through, the night was dark, and through your common room windows you could see a starry sky. Streams of light, but, oh-so-faint. You felt as if you were in a cage in your dorm room, you needed air.. you wouldn’t have much luck trying to sleep anyhow. So, with careful footsteps and clipped breath you made your way out of your dorm room, and out of your common room. Where were you heading? Somewhere, though you ought not to get caught by any prefects or a professor.
You’d been walking for a while, and decided to take a gamble on the moving staircases.. a dangerous thing in the dark, that’s why you used your wand to cast lumos granting you a white light at the tip of your wand, even if it disturbed sleeping portraits.. they’d manage. Eventually, you slipped into a corridor. A passageway you hadn’t went through before.. and hadn’t seen anyone enter. Though, as soon as the passageway door clunks shut behind you, your wand illuminating a spell space around you, while the glass-less windows, (holes maybe.) cast a moonlit shadow of the corridor. Despite the cobwebs, the only thing you could focus on was the sound of piano, it was slightly out of tune. But not enough to sound horrid. Murmuring ’nox’ the light at the end of your wand dies out, and you use the moonlight from the windows to guide you onwards towards the sound.
You can’t believe what you’re seeing, there’s a boy.. perhaps in his fifth year. Slytherin uniform, playing the piano. His fingers worked quickly, he made the instrument his with such a somber, but elegant song — the music sunk into your ears quite nicely.
Squinting, you could recognize a Bentley Moore, a half-blood Slytherin boy who’s more trouble than he’s worth.. snappy, intelligent.. silent. Or do you were told, you hadn’t directly spoken to the 5th year half-blooded Slytherin himself before.. maybe you would. — he didn’t seem the type to play piano.
