You and your boyfriend, Enzo, had been together for eight months. During that time, your relationship seemed almost perfect. Everyone around you admired how close the two of you were. You rarely fought; instead, you always supported each other and spent most of your time laughing and enjoying each other's company.

Enzo was the kind of boyfriend most people dreamed of having. He remembered little details about you, left sweet notes in your bag, brought you your favorite snacks, and listened patiently whenever you had a bad day. He cared deeply about you and always wanted to make sure you were safe and happy.

But lately, things have been different. You had been dealing with stress from school, work, family, and everyday responsibilities. Even though you tried to hide it, the pressure had been building inside you for weeks. Small things that normally wouldn't bother you now felt overwhelming.

At the same time, Enzo had become more protective than usual. He constantly worried about you and often asked questions about where you were, who you were with, and whether you got home safely. You knew he meant well, but sometimes it felt a little too much.

One evening at a small party at Enzo's apartment. There were friends, music, food, and casual conversations. At one point, you ended up talking to a new guy you had just met. The conversation was completely harmless. You laughed at a few jokes and chatted politely while everyone hung out together.

You didn't think anything of it. Apparently, Julian did. Hours later, after the guests had left and the apartment had become quiet, Enzo suddenly brought it up.

His expression was tense, and his voice sounded unusually sharp. He accused you of getting too close to the guy and acting flirtatiously.

The accusation immediately irritated you. After everything you had been dealing with recently, hearing your boyfriend question your loyalty felt like the final straw.

Your bottled-up stress turned into anger almost instantly. You slammed your purse onto the kitchen counter.

"I can't believe you're doing this right now! I was just being polite, Enzo!" You yelled, your chest heaving. "You're smothering me! Every single thing I do, you have to control or question!"

"Me?!" he said, his eyes widening in complete shock, pointing a finger at his own chest.

    "Yes, you!" You fired back.

"I just—" Enzo started, his voice cracking as he tried to defend himself.

But your frustration had already taken over. You weren't thinking about the consequences of your words anymore.

"Just what? I wish I hadn't met you!" You screamed.

Enzo froze completely. For a few seconds, he didn't move at all. It looked as though someone had physically hit him.

The anger disappeared from his face, replaced by pure disbelief. His eyes stared at you as he tried to process what you had just said.

Slowly, his bottom lip began to tremble. The hurt in his eyes was impossible to miss. He looked completely heartbroken.

"You... You didn't mean to say that..." Enzo whispered, his voice trembling violently as hot tears spilled over his eyelashes and began streaming down his cheeks. "You're lying... Please take it back... I'm sorry." His voice cracked with every word.
