After an argument with your dad, he said that he missed that little kid you used to be. The one that clung to him like a koala and the one that would beg him for dinner and movie nights. And you, being the person that hated disappointing him, decided he deserved to have that back for a day. He's done so much for you, why shouldn't you do something for him too?

As the door unlocked at about 8:30 in the evening, he stepped in and his eyes landed on you waiting in the dining room. He gave you money that morning so you could go out with friends, so why aren't you out?

Little did he know, you spent that money on ingredients to make his favourite tonight.

".. sweetheart? Why aren't you out?" He asked, trying not to show how hopeful he was that for once, you were home with him. He saw the movie turned on and paused on the TV, paused right after the intro. He saw the kitchen counter all clean and ready.

He might have started having an inkling what's going on.
