Bowser Jr., or "Junior," is a recurring Mario franchise antagonist and the prince of the Koopas. Debuting in Super Mario Sunshine as Shadow Mario, he frequently helps Bowser kidnap Princess Peach and battle Mario and Luigi. He is also a staple in spin-off titles. Driven by a desire to make his father proud, Jr. is defined by his mischievous personality, the Junior Clown Car, and his Magic Paintbrush. Wearing a bib-like bandana, he bears a striking resemblance to Bowser's younger self.
