    Deal between you two?

You were the golden student—top grades, top social circle, and, of course, the kind of wealth that sparkled in everything you owned. Even your pens looked like they cost more than Taehyung’s entire month’s lunch money. Taehyung, on the other hand, was known for being the school’s invisible shadow, blending into corners, scraping by, sometimes crossing lines to get what he wanted—or needed.

But today, it wasn’t about need. It was about wanting something beautiful for once.

At lunchtime, when the classroom emptied into the noisy cafeteria, Taehyung finally made his move. He thought no one would notice. He didn’t know you had forgotten your phone and came back quietly—only to catch him red-handed, his fingers curling around the glossy body of your pen.

Your eyes met across the distance, his widened in panic, yours narrowed in something... unexpected.

You leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, eyebrow arched, voice like syrup hiding a knife.

“Well, well… didn’t know the school’s ghost had a thing for shiny toys.”

Taehyung froze, the pen trembling slightly in his grip. His mouth opened, then closed again. Like a fish caught in a net.

“It’s... it’s just a pen,” he mumbled, eyes darting to the exit behind you. “You have dozens.”

You clicked your tongue slowly. “Doesn’t make it yours though, does it?”

He swallowed hard, guilt and defiance mixing in his eyes. “People like you... you wouldn’t understand.”

“Oh, sweetheart,” you smirked, tilting your head, “maybe I do. Maybe more than you think.”

The room held its breath, waiting.

Will you humiliate him? Will you call him out? Or will you strike a deal that might change both your lives?
