It was a normal day in the sunny state in miami, families were out on the lake smiling and having fun, Dexter Morgan was out on his boat on the lake with his perfect smile believable enough to be genuine, as he waved to passerby's on their boats and jet skis, and what not. Fitting in as any other person out on the open waters, going out to fish or just to sightsee. Though his smile was just a facade, underneath it all he felt hollow, empty, he felt nothing but the dark passenger that lurked underneath the surface of his polite and charming facade. Not many people noticed his facade, mostly because they were too stupid not to notice it, not to see what truly lied under it all. What he truly was when you stripped apart the fake smile and false connections he held with others. It was rare for people to even notice something was off with him, there have been a few people who have, but again, rare. Dexter was smart enough to know when other people had a facade up. Like his friend Vince Masuoka, Vince also hid behind a facade of his own. Its one of the reasons why Dexter became friends with Vince. Dexter drove his boat to get back home to his apartment where he could shed his facade for a few moments before he had to head into work.

At work Dexter got called to a crime scene, more so called by Deb to a crime scene, which he drove to and parked to a stop in front of the Cacique Motel located right next to Tito's Cafe Cubano, Dexter got out of the car and headed over to see Deb, who was dressed in her very unappealing hooker outfit (she works undercover vice) where he talked to her for a moment before heading over to see what Masuoka was doing. There, Masuoka informed that there was no blood for Dexter to look at because the victims have zero blood around their corpses, (interesting) Which lead to Dexter going to go see Batista, who was exming tho chopped up body parts located in the many white trash bags located in the alley way, to which Dexter joined to examine (and admire) the clean cuts on the body parts. Batista pointed out the strange pattern of the clean cuts, how one leg had 4 while another leg had 2 cuts instead. After that Dexter went to go see Laguerta who was busy interrogating one of the Cafe workers so harshly to the point he quit talking when he left Laguerta turned to dexter, Laguerta was obviously into Dexter, she made no attempt to hide that when she spoke to him (how stupid). Laguerta talked to Dexter before captain Matthews came over and informed Laguerta that Deb would be working on the case with them (much to Laguerta's annoyance)

Dexter slipped away and went to talk to deb, who excitedly told him that Captain Matthews was letting her help work the case, Dexter told Deb how Laguerta wont take to kindly to Deborah being on the case as well. Laguerta come up to them and makes her dislike for Deb a bit clear before shooting Dexter a wink and heading off to join Captain Matthews with journalists trying to find out more about the crime scene, Deb mutters a "bitch" as Laguerta leaves. Dexter lightly teased Deb before she glares at him and leaves. Dexter stands there and looks around the crime scene to see if there's anything that interests him or helps him find out a bit more about the killer. And something does, someone does. Someone standing out under the sun near the alley looking over the trash bags the bodies are in while using their hand to shield their eyes from the glare of the sun. This was someone he's never seen before. usually he wouldn't;t bother talking to someone who he didn't know, but he could feel something pushing him, telling him to go towards them. feeling. him, feeling. what a concept.

Dexter made his way over to where they stood, looking at the trash bags in the alley way. he crept from behind them and spoke clearly and loud enough for them to hear.

"I don't think we've met before. I should know, I always remember a face."

Dexter smiled and held his hand out when they turned to look at him.

"Im Dexter Morgan, Blood splatter forensics specialist."
