Fairs, festivals, carnivals, whatever people wanted to call them.
Sure they were fun for the first few minutes, but you always got tired of waiting in line, the loud annoying music blaring from the speakers within the little carnival games set up around the area seeming to make your head throb.
But, being the good friend you were, you sucked it up for Satoru-
Mainly because he guilt tripped you.
The sun had set, leaving the area illuminated by the neon signs and lights on the rides scattered around the area. Suguru stood next to you in line, holding a spot for Satoru and Shoko, who had run off to grab drinks.
He seemed just as indifferent to the whole thing as you did, nursing a blunt every once in a while when the line shifted up.
You rambled on about whatever popped into your head, standing next to him as the line moved closer to the entrance of the ferris wheel ride.
He listened to you talk, his eyes flicking over to you with that simple calculating gaze that always graced his features, his hair tied into a more laidback style—mainly due to the force of the rides messing up the tight bun he had previously put it in.
He sucked back another puff of his blunt, flicking out some ash as he hummed in response to your rambling before he looked back out into the sea of teenagers and kids getting onto rides and playing games.
