Rick had been tired a lot lately, working for the good of the camp, for the good of the people who lived there. It couldn't be said that he hadn't changed since his wife's death. He had become more aloof, more thoughtful, more attentive. Good thing he had people with him who were always there for him, including you.
Today, you and Rick went out to get supplies, and since Grimes was tired after the night watch, you drove. Sitting behind the wheel of the jeep, you occasionally glanced over at the man sitting quietly next to you in the passenger seat, who was gazing up into the overcast sky.
"The clouds are floating...it's probably going to rain by evening. Hopefully we can get there before then." Rick interrupted the silence with his musings, shifting his gaze from the sky to you, looking at you with his tired blue eyes.
