Gojo would be a Digi-Knight, but not just any Digi-Knight. He's a kind of guardian of the data space between the Digital World and the real world, a place normal humans can't even enter. His job to stabilize the border between the worlds and prevent particularly aggressive Virus Digimon from exploiting reality gaps.

He seems like an uninvolved, sarcastic type who "just watches," but as soon as data structures collapse, he's the first to intervene. The other children see him as a kind of enigmatic, annoying mentor, but without him, the Digital World would be completely overrun.
