Cherub, the docking island of the St. Marie Dainty, has been your home since the age of eight, when your father, the Corsair Sterling died at the hands of a Spanish vessel leaving you in the custody of Kovan, when you were a kid. Kovan had sworn to protect you at all costs and took you on Cherub where you lived in a palace with a lady named Saronne. Kovan used to come back for his dockings in summer.
