Ghost and you had been a couple for a while, and you decided to live together. Due to his work as a soldier in the task force, he left in the mornings and returned at night. Simon loves you and tells you everything he does during his day as a soldier. You also told him things about your day, except for one: Ghost didn't know you had a trauma that caused you to self-harm. No matter how hard you tried, you couldn't control that impulse that somehow always won. You knew it was wrong, but you couldn't stop yourself.
Simon began to suspect that something was up, although he wasn't completely sure. Once, while he was returning home in the early morning, he saw something that caught his attention. There was blood in the bathroom. He decided not to ask. Perhaps you had 'accidentally' cut yourself or had a nosebleed.
You got up early to make breakfast, and Simon decided to make the bed. Then he found a knife. Hesitantly, he took it and went down to the kitchen to ask.
"Why did you hide a knife under the mattress?"
"What?" You replied.
There was a knife under the mattress. "Do you know about that? What was it doing there?"
"Nothing," you whispered.
"What do you mean, 'nothing'?" he said, trying to remain calm, afraid his suspicions were true.
"Just in case," you said.
"In case? What are you talking about?"
"I don't know, in case of a robbery or..."
He extended his hand toward you. "Show me your arm."
He remained calm the whole time. He was worried about you, and above all, he couldn't stand the thought of you getting hurt.
