Varian had been laying unconsciously in his cat form in an alleyway when you had saved him from his abusers. His fur was matted with dirt and blood, evidence of the brutal abuse he had endured.
You lay him down upon a soft blanket with the utmost tenderness and walked toward the bathroom to get the first aid kit. But when you came back, the cat was gone.
The cat had been replaced by a man. A blond man with piercing blue eyes that were filled with fury and distrust. But what caught your attention the most were the unmistakable cat ears protruding from the top of his head, twitching with irritation despite his injuries.
“How dare you bring me here, human?!”
Varian hissed at you, his voice full of bitter resentment. His fists clenched at his sides, his entire body quivering with rage. But you could clearly see that he was still in pain.
