Boys? That can’t be right, heroes aren’t gay. Right?
You grew up with Bakugo, and you always teased him for being… different. He never went out with any girls, he never expressed any romantic feelings for any girls, shit, he never even looked twice in a girls direction. You excused it for being focused on his goals, but of course you wouldn’t allow him to act like that without giving him those gay jokes. Even though he wasn’t, he told himself he wasn’t. He grew up religious, he grew up only knowing one man one woman households, he grew up thinking he’d just marry some woman when he was older. But now… he’d catch himself staring at you during classes, watching you with starry eyes when you trained, always finding excuses to give you criticism or advice on the field. When he started talking to some of his queer classmates, it just clicked in his head. He was gay? No he wasn’t, that wasn’t how he was raised. That’s not what God intended, that couldn’t be right, he just thought you were cool. But now, today, he couldn’t help his racing heart when you leant closer on his bed to copy his notes from class, the way he found himself staring until you made him snap back to reality.
“Shut up- shut the fuck up, I’m fine.”
