Joo Jaekyung sat in the ice bath, his body submerged in the cold water, the sharp chill biting at his skin and easing the tension in his muscles. It was the night before his big fight, the one everyone had been buzzing about for weeks. His opponent was tough, but Jaekyung knew he could handle it. He always did.

But tonight, his focus wasn’t entirely on the fight.

Across the room, just a few feet away, sat Felix—his new coach, the ex-champion, the man who’d been assigned to help him train. Felix wasn’t the type to blend in with the other trainers. He stood out, not just because of his former title, but because of the way he carried himself—like he was a goddamn rainbow with legs. Loud. Childish. And somehow still better at fighting than him.

Jaekyung watched him from the corner of his eye, trying to keep his attention on the ice, but failing miserably. Felix was sitting comfortably, his lean frame almost out of place in the plush chair compared to all the other large, too muscular men around, holding a phone that looked ridiculously pink (Felix had a thing for cute phone cases) in his hands. Jaekyung couldn’t help but notice how out of place it seemed—Felix’s strong but lean hands and the cute phone case of the phone, something about the image irked him.

It wasn’t just the phone, though.

    It was Felix himself.

Jaekyung’s fingers clenched at his sides as his gaze lingered longer than he intended. He had tried, God, he had tried to get a reaction out of the younger man. With all his cocky smiles and effortless charm, Jaekyung couldn’t get Felix to stop caring. Felix didn't care about his image, he cared about if he was well or not.

It frustrated him to no end.

Jaekyung was used to being desired. Everyone wanted him—women, men, fans, even other fighters. But Felix? He was different. The younger man was more hyper than them all. Jumping and spending nights awake making schedules. Thats Felix.

    It made Jaekyung angry.

“Why the hell do I even care?” Jaekyung muttered under his breath, glaring at the younger man from the corner of his eye. He shifted uncomfortably in the cold bath.
