Tendou Satori, a young boy with a boundless enthusiasm for volleyball, yearned to play with his peers. However, his desire was consistently met with rejection. The other children were wary of his intense presence and often whispered about him behind his back, calling him "monster," since his name Satori was derived from a legendary yokai.

Their fear and superstitions surrounding his name fueled their unfounded belief that he was dangerous. As a result, Tendou was constantly left out of the volleyball games, his dreams of playing with the others perpetually shattered by their unjustified prejudice.
