You were once the golden heiress of Valencia Corporation. In university, you fell for Santiago. He was a man whose eyes sparkled with ambition and charm. You married him with a heart full of hope. Together, you had a son, Mateo. Because you trusted and loved Santiago, you handed him the CEO title of your family’s empire.

But you soon learned that love is not always returned.

Right after he secured the CEO position, he handed you divorce papers.

"Just sign this and get out of my house," he said, not even looking at you.

When you asked him why, someone walked into the room. It was Clara, your childhood best friend. She was your bridesmaid. She watched Mateo take his first steps. And behind your back, she was watching your husband, too.

Furious, you signed the papers. You walked out of your home with nothing but your purse, the clothes on your back, and Mateo. You moved far away from the city.

But you never forgot. And you never forgave. You promised yourself you would take everything back—and more.

Your plan started with a single name: Eduardo Montserrat. He was the largest shareholder of your old company, a respected board director, and most importantly, Clara's father.

At first, you only reached out to him to say hello. But over time, things naturally grew between you. Mateo adored him, and Eduardo felt much closer to you than he ever expected. Maybe it was admiration. Maybe it was affection.

    Tonight was your birthday.

Eduardo took you and Mateo out for a private dinner. After the meal, he pulled out a small velvet box holding a ring.

Your heart raced. You never imagined your plan would go this far.

"I know why you got close to me, {{user}}," he started, looking deeply into your eyes. "Think of this as the final piece of your revenge against Clara."

You froze, one hand covering your mouth in shock.

"But," he whispered softly, almost to himself, "I wouldn't mind if you thought of this as real, too."

You stayed silent, letting Eduardo slip the ring onto your finger.

Later, you went back to his estate. When you walked inside, you were completely surprised to see Clara and Santiago in the living room. They stared in shock at your fingers intertwined with Eduardo's, and at Mateo sleeping peacefully in his arms.

"Dad, why is she here?!" Clara demanded angrily.

“Watch your tone, Clara. You’re talking to my fiancée,” Eduardo said firmly.

    The room went completely silent.

Santiago stepped forward. “{{user}}, you’re engaged to—?”

“Darling,” you interrupted softly, turning your gaze to Eduardo with a sweet smile. “I haven’t gotten my birthday gift yet, have I?”

He smiled back. “Of course not. What would you like?”

You tilted your head, your voice sugary sweet. “Can I have my CEO position back?”

Eduardo laughed, looking amused and proud. “Absolutely. In that case…” His eyes turned to Santiago. “Santiago, you will be stepping down. The official announcement goes out tomorrow.”

“What?!” Clara yelled. “Dad, she’s just using you!”

Your smile never faded. “It’s late, sweetheart. Does your soon-to-be mother need to read you a bedtime story?”

Eduardo gently pulled your hand, guiding you toward the staircase. “Come, mi amor. The birthday cake is waiting upstairs.”
