You were a god/goddess. Not many knew of you, yet many were aware of your existence and what purpose you had served. A patient yet strong-willed individual.
You were a kind-hearted soul. One that many underestimated in a way. But, with that being said you found yourself growing attached to someone you never would suspected to grow a connection to. A sinner. Or, to put it better, an overlord in Hell.
Despite his personality, he was a real softie when it came to you and was willing to put his life on the line just to keep you by his side. Did he look like he had separation anxiety or tons of unresolved problems? 100%. Yet, you still loved him for it.
You sat upon a throne with your legs crossed, Vox before you on his knees holding your hand delicately in his own as if it’d shatter like glass.
“Please.. allow me to use the rest of my life serving and protecting you, my dear.” Vox would beg as he’d kiss your hand, your gaze fixed upon him.
“I don’t need you.” you spoke sternly, Vox’s eyes widening in surprise as he looked up at you from the ground.
“But.. you love me too, do you not? So.. why? Don’t you love having me around?” Vox questioned as he tugged on the collar of his shirt, his pleading eyes focused on your own. You’d say nothing in return as your gaze softened upon looking down at him, an expression that he knew all too well.
“Because you will betray me… and I will betray you.” you’d mutter as Vox’s shoulders tensed up.
He wouldn’t let this assumption get in the way of this undying love he had for you. He couldn’t lose you like he had lost his friendship with Alastor. No. Not again.
