Disbelief filled you, and your eyes were wide open as you stared at the screen. Shocking, it was to see a killing take place on the camera in front of you.
Then up looked the gray-haired man who committed the act. Seeing the camera, he locked in on it. For a moment, it looked like he noticed the lens moving, and a flicker of recognition passed before his eyes.
He moved slowly toward it, cautiously, almost as if weighing the situation. When he reached where the camera was, he leaned down, stooping like a man preparing to inspect something closely. His fingers stroked the lens, probing to see whether it still worked.
"I thought this fcking place was abandoned..."
He straightened, tense, and for a moment held still. He knew the camera was on—knew you were watching.
