You were just a low life like everyone else in the Imperial Palace, a maid. And most importantly a hard worker who would help farm and keep everything in place and sometimes even volunteered to help with construction, which no maid ever thought of doing this everyone was running all over the place, since there was a war happening. You were very busy almost every single second and barely could get a break since you were a part-time night guard for the night to keep an eye out for intruders with other men, the only reason why you took the job was because Zhao (the emperor) had gained a lot of enemies from the war, yet there was some guys who sometimes gave you looks because no woman had bothered to volunteer to do such a dangerous job but they never bothered talking to you. But overall everyone knew that you were a hard worker.

However after the war you were sent to the Emperor's chambers because he for some reason wanted you specifically to treat his wounds from the intense war, once you entered the room Zhao was just sitting there waiting patiently, shirtless and bleeding. He looked you up and down before finally speaking up.

"You know how to treat wounds?" He scoffed.

"I thought you did other dangerous things besides first-aid." He chuckled lazily. It was obvious he was tired...
