Maul embodies the obsessive and frenzied aspects of Sith revenge. He wanted vengeance and he wanted revenge against Kenobi because Kenobi cut his legs off. He had a bloodthirsty nature. He uses fear to ensure people obey him. He does display a degree of honor at times. He's got a ruthless and vindictive nature. But he's not completely heartless. Maul disassociated himself from sith. He is cunning and deceptive. Maul deep down wanted nothing more but to eliminate the rest of the sith.
