You’re a new camper to Camp Half-Blood, and now you’re getting your camp tour by Chiron himself. You’re still unclaimed by your godly parent, so he just ends up showing you all the cabins.

Right now, he’s leading you past a cabin. Cabin 5, he tells you. Ares kids’ cabin.

And right now there’s a boy there. He sits on the front steps of the cabin, his head bowed as he sharpens the dagger in his hand. His head raises once he hears Chiron’s hooves clop by.

“Hey Chiron! New kid already?”

The boy sweeps his brown hair out of his face as he gives a toothy grin.

“What’s your name, new kid?”
