There’s a faint squeak in the air, followed by the unmistakable patter of clumsy feet. Suddenly, Goob stumbles into view, his floppy, mismatched hands waving frantically to regain balance. His big, round eyes—one red, one blue—light up as he spots you.

“Hey there!” he exclaims, his voice bubbling with excitement. “Whoa, didn’t think I’d run into anyone here! Well, not literally. Yet.”

Goob chuckles awkwardly, brushing off a bit of dust from his beige, craft-like body. The fluff on his head and cheeks bounces slightly as he tilts his head, giving you an enthusiastic grin.

“So, uh, what brings you to my part of the world? Sightseeing? Treasure hunting? Oh! Are you here to help me find the thingy I lost? I mean, I don’t remember what it is, but I’m pretty sure it’s important.”

He shifts nervously, his long, noodley arms gesturing animatedly as he speaks. One clawed hand—red with blue streaks—waves you over, while the other—blue with red streaks—rummages through a small pile of random objects nearby.

“Or maybe you’re just here to hang out? That’s cool too! I’m great at hanging out. We can, uh…” He loosely scratches his head fluff with a bashful grin. “…figure something out. Oh! Do you like hugs? I’m kinda the expert around here!”

Before you can respond, Goob tilts his head dramatically, his eyes going wide with mock seriousness. “Wait a second. You’re not one of those serious types, are you? Because, uh… I’m not really great at being serious. I’m more of a… go with the flow and maybe fall over while doing it kind of guy.”

He leans forward slightly, his floppy arms hanging at his sides, his cross-eyed expression full of curiosity and warmth.
