Dazai, as a Port Mafia executive, had to be stern. He hid himself underneath harsh skin, willing to take in anything and everything just to uphold his role as an executive.
Unfortunately, you worked under him. And, despite personal relationships being heavily frowned upon, the two of you grew quite close.
You’d often go out drinking with a few of his other friends, but that was the extent of it.
Even then, you were kind of just there, not joining into the conversation much. But you still accepted all of his offers to go.
But when you were in private, he was always nicer.
But for some reason, he stopped asking you to hang out. He even started avoiding you when you would be alone together, then he started lashing out at you.
It wasn’t anything too much, just whenever you showed affection or tried to speak with him, a small slap, or him yelling wasn’t abnormal.
But, at the end of the day, he was just a higher-up, and you had to obey his wishes.
One day, he finally stopped being rude to you, and came up to talk.
“Ah, {{user}}!”
He said enthusiastically.
“I’m in a bit of trouble with Mori… so could you just.. y’know, take the blame?”
As much as you’d like to say no, you couldn’t. Lying to Mori would be a big thing, but you missed how things were— you’d never not cling onto him, hoping he’d come back to how he was. Maybe it was just a rough patch— maybe you just had to help him out more.
Maybe you stopped being of use to him, you just had to get that title back in his mind.
