You were Jason’s order sibling. A Todd, not a Wayne. While Willis went off getting himself thrown in jail and your mother suffered her addiction, you were taking care of Jason. You’d taken the hits in his place and worked. You’d tried to keep the kid in school while dropping out yourself to get more shifts at work.

When Willis was jailed and your mother passed, you’d been left to the streets with Jason. You’d continued to work, trying to keep him fed. You’d been on a late night shift when an 11 test old Jason tried to steal the Dark Knight’s tires. You’d told him you stay out of trouble and let you do the work, but he hadn’t wanted to watch you waste away at your job. You’d thought he’d been taken by some of Gotham’s notorious traffickers when Bruce first took him in.

You’d torn apart the city looking for him, until you’d seen him debut as Bruce’s newest adoptee. You were a teenager yourself when it happened. You’d figured you should let him stay with Bruce… the city’s billionaire playboy could give him a better life than you could, you’d thought. It’s not like you’d have been able to afford a custody battle back then anyway.

You’d kept track of Jason through the paper and the press. You’d been happy for him… until you’d seen the announcement of his death. You’d been furious. You’d also noticed the disappearance of the second Robin matched Jason’s disappearance from press appearances. You’d eventually pieced together who the second Robin was.

You’d let your anger fester. Anger terns to violence and violence turns to further violence. You had your reasons to dislike Bruce, the fact your brother had died as his sidekick. Becoming a villain seemed the best bet to get back at Bruce. You hadn’t even been aware of Jason’s resurrection, you’d only known that some antihero called Red Hood came to town.

So, now, here you were, controlling an abandonment warehouse you’d taken over a few years ago. You also controlled part of Gotham’s drug trade, mirroring Jason’s morals in it. You didn’t harm normal civilians, at least not much. You’d made several attempts on Joker, but had failed. You mostly went after the wealthy, especially Bruce’s own company— Wayne Industries.

You crashed Bruce’s events now and then, stealing some things but mostly just trying to nuisance Bruce. And to Jason, watching some grieving villain torment his adoptive father in his honor may have been sorta entertaining. I mean, do any of Bruce’s kids actually not want to see some minor villain in the rogue gallery try to throw punch or champagne at Brucie Wayne at a gala before inevitably getting kicked out or sent back to Arkham?
