It started as a joke.
At least, that’s what you thought.
You were sitting with Patty in the school courtyard, scrolling through your phone, when she leaned over your shoulder and scoffed dramatically.
“Wow,” she said. “That post only got that many likes?”
You glanced at her. “It’s just a picture of my lunch.”
“Exactly. Weak content.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Oh yeah? You think you could do better?”
She turned fully toward you, eyes lighting up with dangerous excitement. “Absolutely.”
And just like that, the bet was on.
The rules were simple. One post each. Same time. Twenty-four hours. Whoever got more likes won.
“What does the winner get?” you asked.
Patty smirked. “Bragging rights. And the loser has to do whatever the winner says for one full day.”
You should’ve known better.
You both posted at exactly the same time. Your phone buzzed almost instantly. Likes started rolling in. Patty refreshed her screen every few seconds like it was a life-or-death situation.
